We at Mt. Zion join with our brothers and sisters in Christ throughout the world are supporting and praying for the people of Chile and Haiti. Though we are not qualified to go help in either country physically in the present situation we are trying to help with our prayers, finanacial gifts and making Health Kits. Our financial gifts given through The United Methodist Committee On Relief, UMCOR, guarantee that 100% of our gift will go to help the people of Haiti or Chile. You can bring your offering to church and make the check out to Mt. Zion UMC and in the memo put: Advance # 418325 Haiti Emergency or Advance 3021178 Chile Emergency, or give online at the links below or by mail. As of Sunday March 7 we have taken in a total of $2,749.12 through our church offerings and the Youth Group's Pancake Supper ($449.00) for Haiti and Chile.

We are also encouraging everyone to put together health Kits. The kits include basic essentials and have been used in disasters throughout the world to help in the midst of the turmiol. Please follow the directions and make the kits exactly as requested and bring them to church so we can ship them to the Sager Brown Depot for shipping to Haiti.
