The Children’s Ministry at Mt. Zion reaches infants through grade 5. On Sundays at 9:30 a.m. we offer child care in addition to Sunday School classes for Preschool - Grade 5. Age appropriate curriculum is used for the various classes. At 10:30 our Children’s Church experience begins in the Sanctuary where they join in with the adult worship time of praise music and testimonies. They are then dismissed to go to their individual classrooms for a time of Bible study and Bible-related crafts and games. Their morning ends with their own time of praise singing.

Vacation Bible School is held in July and in the past we have had terrific experiences such as taking a jungle safari, visiting a marketplace in Jerusalem, "camping" outside, and visiting the Son Quest Rainforest. It’s a week that children look forward to all year long.

Special programs are planned for Lent/Easter and for Advent/Christmas. (Our "Night in Bethlehem" allowed children to experience what it may have been like for Mary and Joseph when they arrived in Bethlehem and Jesus was born in a stable.)

Our mission for children’s ministry is to nurture our children with love and lead them into a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Starting in January, we will be having a Movie Night for the children of our church and the children of the community.  Here we will show an age appropriate movie, have some snack, and make a craft.  It's a great way for the children to interact with each other and give you parents a change to have a date night!  For more information on this, concat Tim Eller.
