8 & 10:30AM Worship
Each Sunday we have two unique worship experiences. At our 8:00am service music is led by our music leader and choir, and includes mostly traditional hymns. The music at our 10:30am service is lead by our praise band and is even a more intergral part of the service. At each service there is a time for testimonies and prayer requests and the altar is open for prayer. The same sermon is shared at both services. Come and try both services and find out which experience most blesses you.
Nursery (ages 0-2) and Children's Church (ages 3-10) are provided at the 10:30am service.
Dedication of Keyboards
On March 30 we celebrated the official dedication of two new keyboards at Mt. Zion, generously donated by two of our very own members, Bernie and Vicki Lerch. To mark this occasion, Jonathan McPherson wrote a special arrangement of the classic hymn, It Is Well with My Soul, for piano, organ, and orchestra. The orchestral sounds that you hear came entirely from the new Roland Fantom Xa. This modern-day workstation synthesizer is capable of playing back up to 16 different sounds (or instruments) at one time. For this song, Jonathan has recorded each part separately for a total of 14 different instruments. The other new keyboard is the Roland RD700SX. This “stage piano” has many different sounds as well, but for this song, Jonathan will use it for a piano sound. Also performing on the organ is the musical director of Mt. Zion, Norma Floyd.
