The High School youth currently meet on Friday afternoons. The church school bus picks students up from Southern High School, then heads over to the church. During their time at the church, they'll be given snacks, play games and do a Bible lesson, followed by more games and activities related to the lesson topic. Sometimes Middle School and High School students discuss the lesson together. Other times they separate to have discussions pertaining directly to their particular developmental stages.

Throughout the year, we do other mission and faith building activities including regular lock-ins and movie nights. We also help with projects around the church, like sponsoring the walking path on the Field of Grace.

Seasonal Activities

  • February - ROCK Retreat in Ocean City, MD

  • Summer - Vacation Bible School (youth serve as junior coaches)

  • Summer - Mission trip for Appalachia Service Project

  • November - Coat Drive (providing coats for children in the community)  

Scholarships for Students

Each year, the Lothian Ruritan Club provides financial assistance to students to further their education beyond high school. The 2018 scholarships have already been handed out. Check back next year for more details about what scholarships are available.
