Sarah Brosvic
Music Director

Sarah is the new Minister of Music at Mt. Zion UMC, having moved to Southern Maryland from Kent, Ohio, this summer. A South Jersey native, she received her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Messiah College under Richard Roberson and Ya-Ting Chang, and a Master of Music from Kent State University. (She is very proud of her pink graduation gear.) In Ohio, Sarah taught piano lessons at the Aurora School of Music, and served as choir director and substitute organist at UMC of Kent. Sarah now teaches piano lessons at Ernst Music Studio in Calvert County, and is passionate about guiding students of all levels in the discovery of the joy of music making.

A genuine Jersey girl, Sarah relishes summer, going down the shore, hiking, and kayaking; her Ohio years have left her with a love of buckeyes and a fear of cornhole. She cheers for Philly sports teams and Penn State football, and refuses to change her ways. Sarah travels as much as she can, tries to read at least 400 books a year, and crochets or quilts whenever her hands are bored. She now shares living space with two sassy cats in Chesapeake Beach.
